Our historical barn restoration is moving forward
We are dedicated to restoring the historic Marin Stables, the last remaining public horse stable in the Ross Valley. Built in 1937 (the same year as the Golden Gate Bridge) many of the Marin Stables structures and facilities are in dire need of restoration. We are continuing to move forward with a Master Plan that will include storm water management, creek restoration, riparian improvements, site improvements, building improvements, and a community room.
We have already retrofitted the arena with new support posts, replaced the ledger boards in the hay loft, put in a new roof and gutter over the arena stalls, renovated the lodgings in the main barn, and begun initial work on developing and maintaining a riparian buffer along the seasonal creek. WE ARE NOW READY TO BEGIN RESTORATION ON THE OUTBUILDINGS AND STALLS.
